About Eva
EVA FURLANI— split her time as a kid cooking with her parents, charging barflies for swearing, and displaying her artwork in the Guggenheim. If older sisters deserve a medal, those who grow up in Brooklyn brownstones with Jewish Italians deserve three. But Eva quickly realized the best way to keep the peace was by throwing on SNL or a Scorsese flick. From stage to screen, Eva is drawn to writing about women who find power through family, like the protagonist in her comedy pilot, WILDERNESS, recipient of USC’s Jack Oakie Scholarship.
EARLY ON— Eva pursued an education in acting, and participated in many organizations, from The Actor’s Studio East to Write Now! At Manhattan Theater Club. Eva graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts as a Drama Major and was awarded the Marjorie Dycke Memorial Award for Leadership in Theater.
RECENTLY— Eva completed her education at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts with a BFA in Writing for Screen and Television. In 2021, Eva was awarded the Jack Oakie and Victoria Horne Oakie Scholarship for her original comedy pilot, Wilderness, and she founded a digital sketch comedy group, Rocket Science, which has created over two hours of content and brought together over one hundred collaborators from her community.
In her spare time, Eva remains creative. Her hobbies include crocheting, sewing, mixed-media art, and of course, the New York Times Crossword.
